If you didn’t catch the Chanel Paris Bombay runway show you were most certainly missing out. Karl Lagerfeld put on one hell of a lavish show at the Grand Palais late last year and they’ve just released a capsule makeup collection to complement the show’s dark eyed, gilted themed makeup look from Peter Philips; Bombay Express.

The collection hit counters in the last week of June and really is quite divine. It focuses on the ‘Maharani Eyes’ with a Illusion D’Ombre Mirifique – a metallic black, long wear and luminous shadow. The collection also includes a golden polish in Diwali and the most beautiful golden shimmer palette for the cheeks; Routes des Indes de Chanel (which has been embossed with a rare fabric print). Finally the collection includes a peachy/golden lipstick in Emprinte, a super black Inimitable Intense mascara and the lovely Joues Contraste, a bronzed powder blush.

FYI the fabulous hair was done by Sam McKnight (who also did the campaign images as well) who took inspiration from Sadhu holy men and Rajasthani princesses with piled up dreads bejewelled with ornate hair accessories to perfectly set off Peter Philips’ dramatic makeup.

Prices start from £17 and the items are on counters now.
